CONFIDENCE DEFINED
Cultivating creatives to their full performing potential
Welcome to our official site. KCAS is a tutorial training acting studio for both stage and film, focused on the health of the whole performer; spiritually, mentally and physically. We cultivate creative minds to live out their full performing potential with undaunted confidence. We do this by laying a foundation of Christ-first identity through the Word of God.
By the end of the semester each student will walk away with grounded Biblical Identity, Christ- Centered tutorial training in acting for both stage and film and be able to thrive in an often-cutthroat field because they will live a life, confidence defined.

Our Vision
A Creative surrendered to Jesus brings revelation and healing. The Lord will use the gifts of the creative to shift perspective and bring hope. Yet, creatives struggle. The reason why so many creatives struggle is because there’s no foundation to go back to once the job is done. Our vision is that everyone that goes through this acting tutorial training can succeed in life with undaunted confidence because they will know who they are and who they belong to; being completely grounded in their identity.
“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”
- 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)
Our Structure
Merriam – Webster defines confidence as a feeling or consciousness of one’s power or of reliance on one’s circumstance. Faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way. The quality or state of being certain: CERTITUDE
We not only teach Christ- centered confidence, we teach how to focus that confidence through humility. How do you respond to multiple let downs audition after audition? What do you do when multiple casting directors encourage you to change into something that you’re not? How do you reflect Christ when the script doesn’t? How do you safely become the character you’re playing without losing yourself? We discuss all these scenarios throughout the course and guide each performer, so they know how to remain in a posture of certitude.

The beauty of the creative arts is that it’s naturally educational. Performing has multiple educational benefits that are naturally fun for all involved. Over time you’ll begin to see improvements in one’s social skills, vocabulary, articulation, and literacy. You’ll even see those that were once in their shell become comfortable outside their shell AND willing to speak in public. We also focus on script writing which both advances their writing skills and boosts their imagination. The creative arts are a fun fountain of knowledge for all involved.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. – 1 Peter 2:9
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. – 1 John 4:8
Throughout the course students will build a foundation for who God is and who they are. This understanding is essential to every performer. It’s what drives them creatively. It’s their unchanging core of who they are, the children of God. Laying the foundation of Biblical Identity solidifies confidence in every individual and ultimately, sets them apart.

It seems as if there’s a growing demand for every performer to be a triple threat. In most cases if one can act, dance, and sing, they are believed to be the total package. We believe the total package comes from being grounded and healthy both mentally and spiritually. Along with that they need to know certain tools to help guide them whether they are performing on stage, recording a pilot for a sitcom, or filming their first feature film. Each of these avenues of performance take a different set of skills; we’ll discuss that skill set in detail throughout the semester.
